RamiTurva for rental machines and equipment
The RamiTurva service is Ramirent’s own service tailored for rental equipment. It reduces the renter’s liability according to the rental terms for the rented machine in case of damage. RamiTurva is not an insurance. When you take RamiTurva for a machine or device when renting it, you limit possible damage compensation in advance.

RamiTurva’s product-specific daily price is determined according to RamiTurva’s net price list.
RamiTurva – reduced compensation for damages to rental equipment
- Ramirent Finland Oy (or its subsidiary) undertakes to reduce the customer’s liability for damages caused to the rental property so that it is at most the deductible amount stated in the rental agreement for damages to which RamiTurva and its compensation division will be applied.
- RamiTurva covers the product that is in the customer’s possession in Finland and is specified in the rental agreement. RamiTurva covers only the damages to the product specified in the rental agreement.
- The deductible is the maximum risk to the customer of the amount of damages defined in the contract as damage and product-specific. If repair expenses turn out to be less than the excess, the customer is charged no more than the actual expenses.
- RamiTurva is subsidiary to other forms of insurance: if the customer has taken an insurance that covers the damages to rental product, it takes precedence over RamiTurva.
- The validity period of RamiTurva is the same as the rental period of the product.
- RamiTurva is valid when the product is returned to the Ramirent rental company where the product was rented or to another location specified by the rental company. In exceptional circumstances, a Ramirent representative inspection at the accident site may be accepted.
- RamiTurva is NOT valid if the Lessee fails to pay the contracted RamiTurva fee.
- RamiTurva compensates when:
- The damage has occurred suddenly and unpredictably.
- Damage occurs during transport or loading situations.
- The product breaks if dropped or overturned.
- The product is damaged in a fire or is submerged by a fallen object.
- The damage occurs due to human misuse or carelessness, clumsiness or incompetence.
- It is about theft; It compensates the rented person for the loss of the device / direct property damage caused to it. Theft refers to the theft of a locked space or the unauthorized use or theft of a locked device. A prerequisite for reimbursement is that the theft is detected immediately after the incident and can be verified in terms of time and place, and that the customer has reported the matter to the police.
- RamiTurva does not cover:
- Lost or forgotten property
- property the loss of which is established only in connection with a return inspection or periodic inventory
- theft that has not been immediately reported to Ramirent and the incident has not been reported to the police
- damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence or misconduct. It is gross negligence if the customer neglects to follow the instructions for installation, use and authority due to clear negligence.
- personal injury or damage to other property caused to others or oneself
- damage caused to consumables or supplies used in the rental product, such as fuels, lubricants and other liquids
- sandblasting, painting, plastering, etc. the corresponding so-called. Cleaning or damage caused by significantly soiled work.
- damage caused by natural phenomena (flood, storm, changes in water levels, movement of ice, etc.).
- product cleaning costs
- if the damage has been caused by blasting or excavation work
- any indirect costs (transport, replacement, clearance of equipment, dismantling, etc.).
- 10. RamiTurva’s deductible will be charged immediately upon return or at the latest after Ramirent’s damage inspection. Equipment repairs related to damage are always carried out by Ramirent.
- The RamiTurva fee and deductible are products subject to VAT.
In case on damage
If accident happens, contact Ramirent’s personnel immediately and immediately file a damage report, explain the course of events, take photos of the damage situation, damaged equipment and the accident site. If you suspect that a theft offence has been committed, report the crime.
For whom and for which products RamiTurva is mandatory
- All cash and consumer customers
- Always for aerial platforms and construction machinery
- If the customer refuses to purchase the RamiTurva service, he/she must prove that he/she has other comprehensive insurance coverage
- RamiTurva can only be taken for numbered individual products
