Green Deal
Ramirent is part of the construction equipment industry’s Green Deal agreement and is committed to reducing emissions. We are increasing the share of electric-powered equipment in our rental fleet and offering other solutions to help customers reduce machine emissions.
Emissions class
In built environments, machine emissions significantly affect air quality. Stage emissions classes regulate the exhaust emissions of machinery. Ramirent’s range includes a comprehensive selection of the latest Stage V machinery.
Renewable fuel
Renewable fuels are a zero-emission transitional option to electric and battery-powered machinery. Ramirent fuels all rental diesel-powered machines with renewable Neste MY fuel from our largest locations.

Manage emissions
Reducing construction-related emissions is a key action in stopping climate change. Equipment and machinery used on-site are significant sources of emissions during construction. Ramirent offers an easy way to calculate and reduce emissions from your fleet on the job site.
RamiGreen emissions calculation service
- With the RamiGreen emissions calculation service, you can identify the emissions associated with Ramirent’s equipment and services, including transportation, usage, installation, and maintenance.
- Emissions include the fuel and electricity consumption of Ramirent’s major equipment and machinery, as well as the emissions from transportation (both internal and external), maintenance trips, and waste.
- In line with the concept, Ramirent offers customers the opportunity to choose lower-emission options for each project on a “turnkey” basis. If necessary, Ramirent will offset any remaining emissions by purchasing carbon reduction units on behalf of the customer, for emissions that cannot be eliminated through other measures.
- In the calculation, the emissions from construction machinery and equipment are limited to those that occur during the worksite period. Therefore, emissions from the manufacturing and disposal of machinery are not included in the calculation.
- Ramirent’s emissions calculation service is suitable for all construction and industrial sites, as well as events.

- As the project schedule and equipment needs become more defined, a preliminary emissions calculation is performed to estimate the emissions for the entire duration of the project.
- At the start of the project, regular emissions monitoring calculations are performed at pre-agreed intervals.
- At the end of the project, a summary of the emissions calculation is provided.
