First aid training and preparedness
First aid refers to immediate physical and psychological assistance provided to a person injured or suffering a seizure at the scene of an incident or in its vicinity. The goal of first aid is to prevent injuries from worsening and new injuries from occurring. Everyone has a duty to help and give help according to their skills.
A skilled and capable layperson plays a crucial role, as it takes valuable time for professional help to arrive. A lay helper can significantly improve the survival prognosis of the person being helped. By quickly calling for help, starting basic resuscitation and using a heart attacker, the chances of survival can be tripled. The easiest way to acquire and maintain competence is to attend first aid training.
You can study first aid training in three different ways: as a self-study course, as a webinar or as traditional contact teaching.
In a self-study course, you complete the training at your own pace when it suits you best and pick up where you left off or complete the part you want at a time.
In the webinar, you will complete the training via a terminal device, so that you have a two-way connection to the trainer at all times. Training is carried out in the same way as in traditional classroom training, but all activities take place via telecommunications connections and a terminal. Webinar training requires attendance throughout the training and active participation in the training.
You will still achieve the best interaction and impact in traditional face-to-face training, where you can physically participate in the training and receive interactive teaching all the time. Face-to-face training can be held in any place where there is enough space for practical first aid exercises.
The student himself decides which of the above teaching methods suits him best. All our open first aid trainings can be found in our training offering.
